Join us as a Climate Lead - Climate Decisioning Framework
- Take on a role with significant focus across the business, in which you’ll be coordinating the delivery of the Commercial & Institutional (C&I) Banking climate objectives through business strategy
- You’ll be helping drive the C&I climate agenda, developing the Climate Decisioning Framework with a specific focus on the FI vertical, supporting the embedding of Climate into business decision making
- With your contribution to our ambitious climate goals, you’ll be helping us to achieve a purpose focused culture that inspires colleague engagement and involvement at all levels
- We're offering this role on a fixed term contract for six months

**What you'll do**:
As a Climate Lead, you’ll be leading and supporting activities to enable acceleration towards the C&I climate goals, by preparing the business to effectively deliver positive change. Specifically, we’ll look to you to help drive the delivery of the Climate Decisioning Framework programme for the Financial Institutions (FI) vertical and help us maintain our leading climate position amongst peers. This will require close collaboration with NatWest Markets and RBSI, as the FI business consists of activities across the C&I legal entities.

You’ll also be:

- Supporting and influencing the relevant area leads across C&I to ensure the effective delivery of the Climate Decisioning Framework against agreed priorities on climate change, in particular with the Climate & ESG Capital Markets team in NatWest Markets and the Climate & ESG team in RBSI
- Working closely with the business and customer engagement to support the pilot and dashboard build of the CDF outputs by year end
- Ensuring that the corporate CDF work is relayed to Climate & ESG Capital Markets team in NatWest Markets and the Climate & ESG team in RBSI to ensure alignment and knowledge transfer between the two C&I verticals
- Preparing reports for senior stakeholders and providing recommendations for direction on climate
- Building relationships with key stakeholders, including respective franchise climate partners and our Climate centre of excellence and functional business partners

**The skills you'll need**:
We’re looking for someone with knowledge of the Financial Institutions industry, a passion for positive climate action and a good understanding of current and emerging policy on climate issues, coupled with experience of supporting and delivering strategic projects that support the business strategy and its growth agenda.

You’ll also need:

- Experience with end-to-end ownership and the ability to proactively drive the programme forward
- Data literacy and analytical skills, ideally with Climate or ESG experience
- Sound interpersonal skills and a proven ability to engage / communicate with all stakeholders
- Detailed knowledge and experience of cultural change management
