Stonemason

**Job Vacancy**:Stone Mason / Repairer / Restoration

**Starting Salary**:£11+ (Salaries negotiable dependent upon experience)

**Location**:Various sites across the North West

**About Us**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Working hours: Monday to Friday (7.30am - 4.00pm)
- Stone masonry and/or bricklaying and other forms of site-based work if required
- Working alongside other operatives and a site manager
- Construct and repair stone and masonry structures such as walls, floors, and monuments
- Lay out patterns or foundations using measuring and marking tools
- Cut or shape stones to specified sizes using power tools or hand tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels
- Set stones in place according to design plans or blueprints
- Clean excess mortar or grout from surfaces using water, brushes, or acid solutions
- Repair cracked or damaged stones using epoxy compounds or other materials.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Proven experience as a stonemason or similar role
- Proficient in masonry techniques and practices
- Familiarity with power tools and equipment used in stonemasonry
- Strong knowledge of different types of stone materials and their properties
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans
- Skilled in using hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and levels
- Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
