You will be expected to confidently use skills in both 1:1 consultations, joint consultations and in groups to deliver education to patients, their families and carers. Settings include acute wards, out-patient clinics, schools and using digital solutions to promote optimal care. You will act as a source of expertise in the nutritional management of paediatric patients living across Ayrshire and to work as an integral part of the wider paediatric team and be able to promote the role of the dietitian as services evolve. You will also need to exhibit leadership skills and demonstrate the ability to work with statutory and voluntary organizations and agencies.

You will be based within University Hospital Crosshouse and will work alongside Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioner and Dietetic Support Workers colleagues to support effective delivery of dietetic care working to national and local targets and drivers.

The Department provides training to A, B and C placement students and offers clinical supervision.

You should possess an Honours degree/postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Experience in Paediatrics is essential. Evidence of competencies and skills required to deliver this post is essential e.g. excellent interpersonal skills, excellent team working and robust prioritisation and time management skills.

Car driver/owner is essential.

**Hours**: 37.5 per week

Part time/Job share would be considered.
