**Location: Polzeath**

**FULL TIME POSITION (Weekend shifts required) - Salary up to £25,000 depending on experience**

This is a new position within the company presenting a rewarding and exciting opportunity to help grow an established business in North Cornwall covering the stunning locations: Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay and the surrounding areas.

As a crucial member of the team you will be responsible for managing the housekeeping operations and motivating the team to ensure the highest level of customer service throughout our property portfolio and premises. Our contemporary portfolio of holiday homes are located in some of the best locations in Cornwall: The Point, Polzeath, Rock and Daymer Bay. Reporting to the Head of The Point Holidays, you will be responsible for liaising with housekeepers, home owners, holiday guests and suppliers focusing on providing exceptional customer service and high standards of work.

You will act as the main focal point for housekeeping property queries, addressing any problems and formulate effective solutions in conjunction with the holiday rentals team.
- Develop, improve and implement operating procedures driving the growth of our portfolio and ensuring the department follows industry best practice across all subsidiary services including laundry, cleaning and property management.
- Recruit, manage and motivate a team of housekeepers
- Resolution of house damages, customer complaints and owner management
- Promote and market the company to optimise the impact and brand awareness both locally and nationally.
- Create and maintain excellent homeowner relationships across the collection
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, risk assessments and licensing laws

**Responsibilities**
- To manage efficient communications with housekeepers, homeowners and guests including further developing rapport and communications with both new and existing owners.
- Using your own initiative to oversee, delegate and deal with everyday owner, guest and employee queries.
- Organise the weekly staff cleaning rota for holiday homes and the premises.
- Organise and carry out pre-arrival cleaning and safety checks of each property.
- Quickly investigate and understand reported problems and come up with a commercially sensible solution acceptable to all parties involved in a timely manner.
- Proactively identifying potential complaints and problems and resolving them proactively.
- To manage an efficient working environment enabling all team members work to the best of their ability.
- Conduct staff training and inductions for new members of staff
- Manage the stock control, stock ordering, payroll, property checks, and preparing welcome hampers and cleaning kits for each changeover
- Support the Holidays team with daily tasks such as booking enquiries, homeowner queries.
- To utilise guest/owner feedback to work with the homeowners and team to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify any deficiencies within properties and work with home owners and property management team to programme necessary rectification.

**Essential Experience**
- Supervised teams in a similar industry
- Full driving license
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Local knowledge of the areas
- Desirable Experience
- Managed a team in a similar industry for 1 year +
- Has been involved with managing property aspects
- First Aid
- Compliance trained

- Attention to detail and to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work in a busy and changing environment
- Good interpersonal and team working skills
- Confidence in dealing with holiday guests, homeowners, contractors, suppliers and staff
- Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously
