**Job summary**:
An opportunity has arisen within C4i Squadron (Command, Control, Communications, Computers for Information) at RAF Cranwell. The Defence Cyber Protect Team Admin Officer 1 (DCPT AO1) is a member of a 3-person team responsible for providing specialist support in respect of the provision of IT services to RAF Cranwell and a wide range of supported units. This includes some smaller off-site units across the UK.

C4i Sqn is made up of 12 Staff across 3 sections of predominately Civil Servants who are resourced to support a mix of IT and audio-visual equipment. There is a desire to exploit emerging technology and advanced ways of working whilst building in cyber protection and ease of use for our customers. You will work alongside your colleagues to deliver Computer Information Systems (CIS) directly to our customers.

C4i has undergone a centralised transformation project to modernise the delivery of IT. The new Air Cyberspace Services Centre (Air CySC) predominantly provides most of the IT services to our customers.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
Information Technology including Cyber is increasingly important to the MOD and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for our customers. An overview of the responsibilities the role covers is below:
The DCPT should encourage a positive customer facing approach to all Cyber tasks to ensure that RAF Cranwell is supported with affordable and modern IT outside of that provided by delivery partners.

You will be responsible to the Station Information Technology Security Officer (ITSO) for the security and protection of Information Technology/Cyber at RAFC Cranwell and supported units.

Project management of communication assets under the ITSOs guidance.

Maintaining a master index of MODNET and Non-MODNet devices and associated equipment pan Cranwell and ensuring associated documentation is inputted accurately in to approved databases.

Instigate and follow the appropriate procedures for scrapping destroying or reuse of computer storage media.

Producing, maintaining and confirming accreditation for all IT systems pan RAF Cranwell using the Defence Accreditation Risk (DART) Tool.

Conducting Information System Security surveys and audits on CIS installations and security at all sites supported by RAFC Cranwell DCPT.

Reviewing and implementing all CIS policy and advising installation managers and users of any changes or new regulations to ensure the safe keeping of all MOD electronic information.

Assisting RAF Police with investigations into security breaches.

Acting as the Assistant Communications Security (COMSEC) custodian

Various tasks require equipment and tools to be transported across the Station and supported units within the UK. Two small vans are allocated to the section and a standard car driving licence is required.
