**Full job description**

An opportunity for an organised, driven practical individual that is interested in working for an established local company with the drive to succeed. This role is within Stores and Assembly controlling all movement of components and finished goods.

The main focus of the role is to fuel Production final assembly both in the factory and on customers sites ensuring all required components are selected appropriately. This will involve goods in, organising stores and making up kits and also some assembly tasks (according to individual skills, future training and development can be provided). The role also includes the efficient receipt of deliveries, management of stock levels, goods dispatch including loading and unloading lorries; and the organisation of the workshop and yard.

**Key duties /accountability as follows**:
**Goods Receipt**
- Unloading of deliveries
- Ensure all goods are appropriately receipted and signed for
- Ensure goods delivered are assigned to the appropriate kits or placed in the correct stock location

**Kit picking**
- Ensure kits are picked in time for the jobs to take place.
- Ensure excellent communication between the person preparing the Kit and the Purchasing/Operations department.
- Ensure Purchasing are made aware of any parts that are required to be purchased to complete kits
- Responsible for shortage identification in kits

**Dispatch**
- Booking any small goods via DHL ect
- Assist with the loading of goods to be dispatched
- Assist with ensuring final orders are correctly packaged
- Assist with preparing and issuing parts to sub-contractors

**Stock**
- Ensure orderly and tidy stock locations
- Ensure a sufficient stock level of critical parts
- Assist with the completion of stock taking as and when required

**Workshop and Yard Maintenance**
- Ensure factory equipment is kept clean and in good working condition
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment of the factory and yard.

**Essential**:

- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience in a manufacturing and or engineering environment.
- Able to trouble shoot and solve problems
- Ability to work in a team

**Desirable**:

- Forklift licence and or experience to using a forklift
- Working knowledge of Warehouse or stores systems

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing or Stores: 1 year (preferred)

**Licence/Certification**:

- Forklift Licence/ Experience (preferred)

**Work Location**:

- WA2 Warrington

Pay: £11.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
