Akari Care Group are interested in speaking to procurement professionals who would be interested in joining our team at the Leeds Support Centre.

Akari Care provide residential and nursing care services to the elderly operating 32 homes nationally. We are looking to recruit a **Junior Buyer** who will work closely with the Head of Procurement, and our outsourced Helpdesk, to provide effective management of all aspects of purchasing across the business. You'll have experience of purchasing and a good understanding of the principles of effective procurement. This role will be varied and challenging but ultimately rewarding.

**Overview of role and responsibilities**
- Leadership and management of small/medium scale supply tendering processes, to ensure that Akari obtains value for money and high quality services/supplies. End to end management of such processes, from definition of requirement, sourcing, tender analysis, negotiation and implementation
- Continuous search for better supply relationships in order to mitigate supply chain risk
- Provision of procurement expertise in cross functional projects '“ The role will span procurement activity across a wide range of indirect categories
- Production and monitoring of monthly KPIs
- Management of Supplier and contractor compliance process
- New supplier set ups end to end process
- Effective communication with Home Managers and Stakeholders at all levels of the business
