Optical Assistant mainly based in our Lincoln Branch and some holiday cover in Sleaford.

Recruiting for our Independent family run practice.

Saturday work required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reception - Admin
- Assist optometrists and opticians in providing excellent patient care
- Perform tests and measurements, such as field of vision and OCT scans
- Frame advisor
- Maintain accurate and organised patient records
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
- Assist with frame selection and fitting
- Order and maintain inventory of eyewear and contact lenses
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks as needed

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as an optical assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of ocular anatomy and common eye conditions is a plus
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures for lens fabrication is desirable

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and record keeping
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using optical equipment, such as lensometers and visual field analyzers
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
