**The role**

Job Title: Merchandiser

Location: South and South West

Reporting To: Merchandising Supervisor

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9 to 5

**Main Purpose**:

- To maintain quality standards of PJH bathroom products within B&Q stores whilst providing training and enhancing store staff product knowledge, whilst ultimately ensuring the B&Q customer buying experience is exceptional resulting in increased sales._
- Working within a geographical area the Merchandiser will be responsible for merchandising B&Q stores bathroom displays within that region. _

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Maintaining all bathroom displays and replacing any defective parts.
- Inspect special order products which are returned to store and accept/reject their return to PJH warehouses reducing stock trapped stock holding which will result in allowing the store to increase their saleable “take-away” stock holding.
- Ensuring all PJH stock which are being displayed on shelves are fully merchandised in line with store planograms and “faced-up” where necessary.
- Provide basic staff training to B&Q staff to ensure their continued development on product.
- Feedback to the team about your relevant assigned region where requested and deemed of significance to the management.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Self-motivated.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Confident and approachable with excellent customer service skills.
- To have the business acumen to be able to challenge in a constructive and an appropriate way.
- Previous customer facing role, whether in Sales or Customer Service.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of management.

Additionally, the following are desirable but not essential:

- Previous merchandising experience.
- Previous experience of extensive travelling.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,100.00 per year
