Kitchen Assistant

**Croft House is a family run care home based in Shotton Colliery. The home provides accommodation for up to 60 people with residential, nursing and dementia care needs. The home has three distinct units over three floors.**

We are looking for Kitchen assistants to join our team.
- To assist the cook in preparation of a healthy diet to the residents within the home.
- Prepare and serve food & drink required for breakfast.
- Prepare vegetables as required for the daily meals.
- Undertake cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining area as required.
- Wash up as required during preparation of a meal.
- Assist the cook with light duties.
- Lay the tables, prepare the trays and trolleys.
- Participate in any training as required.
- Dispose of waste appropriately.

**Requirements for Kitchen Assistant role**:

- Transferrable DBS Certificate is preferable but not essential
- More than 1 years experience working in a care home environment as a Kitchen Assistant is preferable but not essential
- Food Hygiene Level 2 required
- You MUST be able to demonstrate that you have the skills and experience to perform well in this role.
- To possess good manners and a flexible approach
- Ability to communicate on all levels
