**What You Need to Know**

The Group Finance team is defined into 5 key work streams - Finance; Accounting; Tax; Credit Control; and Financial Planning & Analysis. This role will be sits within the “Finance” work stream

**What We Are Looking For**

Some of the Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following:

- Assist the Group Finance team during month-end routines through:

- Performing month end close routines for corporate entities
- Performing monthly inter-company reconciliations / confirmation processes
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the Group Finance team in their daily banking activities
- Support the Group Accounting team during Group and local financial statement audits
- Support the Group Accounting team in the drafting of the consolidated Group and local subsidiary statutory accounts
- Assist the Group Accounting team in ensuring good Balance Sheet governance and control disciplines are applied across the Group
- Preparation of Office for National Statistics Reporting
- Support UK and US Tax Compliance matters including analysis of the General Ledger and data collection for Research & Development claims
- iXBRL tagging of the UK statutory accounts
- Perform any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified to meet business requirements

**Skills & Experience**

Essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Respond effectively to demands of a high and varied work-load, and changing job priorities
- An enthusiastic and flexible self-starter
- Strong communications skills
- Flexible and adaptable and able to support and interface with people at all levels
- Approachable, resourceful, drive and motivation, assertive
- Demonstrates a proactive approach
- Demonstrated experience of working within a small team

Preferred
- Experience in an oil & gas service company
- Experience in using Microsoft AX Dynamics
