**Logistics Coordinator**

**Purpose**:
Assisting with the coordination of logistics for operations to meet business needs. Ensure the efficient movement of goods into the business and outward to fulfil customer requirements to enable On Time Delivery

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Logistics Coordination & Compliance**
- Assist with the administration of Inbound & Outbound logistics and deliveries by service providers
- Align daily with Planning and Stores Teams to ensure logistics plan is effectively communicated
- Ensure logistics arrangements align with the production and shipping schedule and maximize OTD
- Provide support as POC for transportation queries and issues
- Contract management of 3PLs and other logistics service providers
- Ensure all activities within logistics processes adhere to all relevant Compliance or Quality regulations (ISO9001 QMS)
- Assist with the management of the movement of products/equipment and material in and/or out to comply with relevant country regulations
- Ensure shipments are costed and invoiced correctly in accordance with agreed charges to ensure profitability
- Retain the necessary documentation and forms for audit purposes for controls and HMRC
- Maintain and share information on relevant import and export procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses and restrictions.
- Communicate with the relevant export and import authorities and couriers on a weekly basis
- Work with Customer Services to plan and implement shipment of demo goods to exhibitions in various countries
- Responsible for all aspects of the Distribution business on both Filemaker and Great Plains, quotation through to invoice

Cost, Control & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze and track logistics spend against budget, whilst providing recommendations for areas of improvements
- Lead implementation of best practice and continuous improvement of Shipping and Distribution processes
- Tracking of shipments for Revenue Recognition purposes
- Ensure in your absence that adequate logistics cover is in place to enable OTD

**Other**
- Compile reports and returns as required
- General administrative work required to fulfill delivery
- To provide cover for the finance team processes when required
- Provide training on shipping and logistics processes as required
- Perform other tasks as required

**Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience**
- Relevant experience of manufacturing logistics processes including shipping and distribution
- Experience within logistics and contract management
- Working knowledge of business finance procedures
- Experience in aspects of MRP systems and stock accuracy
- Experience of working with both customers and suppliers
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Office, Teams etc)
- Resilient and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Able to communicate well at all levels.
