We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join the developing Staff Psychological Support Service (SPSS) at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The SPSS Assistant Psychology post offers a unique opportunity for a motivated and organised psychology graduate with an interest in staff support and wellbeing.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate with aspirations to develop their clinical and non-clinical skills in an exciting and evolving area of clinical psychology and to enhance their skills and experience within a career in clinical psychology.

The post-holder will

Work under supervision and in close liaison to support the lead psychologist and other members of the service as it develops to deliver Trust wide psychological support for staff including teams.

As appropriate and according to experience will be flexible to meet the needs of the service with regular supervision in relation to their skills and experience.

Will support the organisation and support the delivery of team based interventions, developing and creating resources (presentation and leaflets).

Will be responsible for collating, analysis and disseminating qualitative and quantitative data on service efficacy.

Will have the opportunity to be involved with the design and delivery of team based interventions and the development of the individual therapy pathway for staff as this develops.

The SPSS forms part of the wider Occupational Health and Wellbeing services provided to the Trust.

The SPSS works very closely alongside Staff Health and Wellbeing service delivering training, education and support to both staff and managers across the Trust.
