Norfolk Street Surgery is located in Shelton and provides care to over 19,000 patients. We are a friendly and supportive 3 partner practice with a multi-professional team including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Physician Associates. We are a training practice and provide training to GP Registrars, Foundation Trainees, Medical Students and Physician Associates.

We are looking for a medical receptionist to join our amazing team

Duties will include but not exhaustive:

- Scheduling / cancelling appointments via telephone and in person.
- Dealing effectively with urgent requests and requests for home visits.
- Be the first point of contact for patients, carers or relatives and provide appropriate assistance.
- Signposting patients to the correct service.
- Communicate effectively with other team members.
- Recording information in an accurate and timely fashion using EMIS.
- Maintain confidentially of information relating to patients, carers, relatives, staff and the practice.

We are looking for an individual with:

- Excellent all round communication skills.
- Experience of working in a surgery would be useful however training will be provided.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good organisational and administration skills.

Working hours are between:

- 8.30am - 6.30pm
- Monday - Friday

**Job Type**: Permanent

Work Location: In Person.
