We have a rewarding opportunity to work within Our Special Educational Needs Assessment Service, were you’ll be responsible for delivery of high quality casework in line with the statutory requirements in the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Children and Families Act 2014.

You’ll coordinate multi-agency assessments of education, health and care and ensure that Education, Health and Care plans are issued within statutory timescales, up to date and reflect the needs for the young person and the provision that they require.

You’ll organise and coordinate statutory EHC needs assessments and plan (EHCNA and EHCP) processes. You will have an allocated caseload and be aligned to one of the two teams supporting assessment, review, phase transfer processes reconciliation and resolution. You’ll work with professionals across education, health and care as well as the young person and their family with a focus of improving outcomes for children and young people.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to follow procedures and guidelines, assimilate complex information and communicate this to others appropriately as well as have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of literacy to support good case recording and high quality EHC plans.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop on your existing skills by working on own initiative and organise own workload to meet competing targets and deadlines.

We do ask that you are Educated to A level or equivalent to support good case recording and quality EHC plans.

Applicants for this role will need to be able to have demonstrable understanding of the Education, Health and Care needs assessment Process as well as being willing to adjust working arrangements to meet service demands.

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
