**Research Assistant in AR and VR for 2D and 3D Weaving Design and Production**:
**Are you intersted in research, in developing woven têxtiles and specifications of their design architecture using alternative digital tools and systems associated to Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)? Are you intersted in developing alternative digital communication tools/platforms for weave design and architecture inclusive of production parameters for manufacture? Do you have a background in weave design, wweaving technologies and AR and VR? Do you want to further your career in adapting new mehtods of design and production communication for woven têxtile materials and weaving technologies employed in manufacturing 2D and 3D woven forms using AR and VR?**

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled researcher to work on innovative research projects in the 3D Weaving Innovation Centre (3D WIC), within the School of Design; a highly ranked department with a vibrant research culture and a commitment to excellence in teaching and research. You will join an experienced, innovative and diverse team and will be actively involved in research, producing high quality publications and contributing to the School’s Research Excellence Framework (REF), developing a record of research / knowledge commensurate with the level of the post and with a clear indication of the ability to achieve internationally recognised standards of excellence.

You will have undergraduate and/or post-graduate experience, and/or industrial experience in woven têxtiles, weaving technologies, AR and VR technology systems and software communication tools.
