**Your new role**:
Doctor Care Anywhere (DCA) is a healthcare company that is enabled by technology. DCA’s success is wholly dependent on its ability to harness technology to deliver market-leading digital health care propositions.

The CDIO will be accountable for providing the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap to enable DCA’s digital business transformation ambitions; identifying key emerging trends and technologies; evolving the architecture to support new, emerging technologies; and modernising the infrastructure.

**Requirements**:
**Key accountabilities/ responsibilities**:

- Lead the development of DCA’s technology strategy, vision and roadmap, in support of DCA’s strategy, providing recommendations to the CEO and Board on technology modernisation, consolidation and optimisation.
- Lead the IT organisation, managing resources, finances, investments and SLA’s.
- Ensure that internal and external systems are running and performing as they should by actively monitoring and responding to incidents that might affect highly available and performant systems.
- Lead technology innovation, exploring how emerging technologies can transform the business.
- Develop the technology architecture to support the introduction of new technologies.
- Work with business functions to understand customer and market requirements in order to translate them into products and services to drive business outcomes.

**Required Experience and Knowledge**
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience with an appropriate demonstrated experience of how the components of business, solution, data and security architecture come appropriately together.
- Experience in building ecosystems across suppliers, partners and customers; and architecting the integration and data strategy of such ecosystems.
- Strong experience of both buying off the shelf and building (engineering) business solutions and being able to articulate the benefits of either approach.
- Knowledge of managing and transferring confidential patient health data across ecosystems in line with ethical and legislative requirements. Specific experience of health data record interoperability requirements and standards such as FHIR etc. would be an advantage.
- Strong experience within IT operations.
- Relationship and people management competencies: coaching, delegating, and developing, collaborating and teamwork, emotional intelligence, communicating, listening and information gathering.
- Ability to map technologies to business vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Proven Digital business literacy, trendspotting, developing modular architecture, strategic planning, and budgeting.
- Experience in managing a multi-faceted function within a Microsoft environment (Azure, Dynamics 365, Synapse, PowerBI).
- Managing the migration of a monolithic architecture to an event-driven microservices architecture
- Previous experience working in a healthcare organisation is desirable; experience of managing compliance, security and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to balance operational excellence with strategic planning.
- Strong agile working mentality and proven experience of driving projects with appropriate experience in establishing the necessary governance and controls.

- Accountable for the stability of the DCA platform.
- Accountable for the security of the DCA platform.
- Responsible for supporting the Executive Team in setting the technology strategy to support the company strategy.
- Responsible for the delivery of the data vision and governance with associated technical architecture and analytics capabilities.
- Accountable for recruiting and developing a high performing team.
- Line management responsibility for the full Technology and IT function including Dev, Test and DevOps; and Business Change teams.
- Work with the Chief Risk Officer to ensure the security of DCA’s information.
- Implement strong IT governance and controls through an agile framework
