**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for end-to-end payroll processing for both weekly and monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Calculate and input payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions using the company’s time and attendance system.
- Verify and reconcile payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management for review and approval.
- Assist the HR Manager in maintaining employee records, including new hires, leavers and changes in employment details, as well as other ad-hoc tasks.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll related changes, such as salary adjustments, benefits enrolment, and deductions.
- Assist in creating and posting of all payroll-related journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
- Assist in reconciling and uploading the employer pension information.
- Maintain P11d and payroll records for company benefit schemes, particularly the Private Medical Scheme and Company Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll and pension laws and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and sensitive employee data.

**Qualifications / Skills / Experience**:

- Accounting or Finance qualifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or payroll processing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using Sage payroll software and knowledge of time and attendance systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, including deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- IT Skills - Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

This will be an office-based role which will require a presence at our Southminster site 5 days per week.
