Steel Fabricator

Due to continuing growth and expansion, we are currently recruiting for experienced time served Fabricator Welders, on a full-time, permanent basis, to join our team at Tranent. You will be joining a busy and growing workforce working on a varied range of jobs.

Had Fab Ltd is a leading designer and fabricator of steel and aluminium structural systems for industries including, power, rail, renewables.

**As a steel fabricator you will be responsible for**:

- Reading and interpreting detailed fabrication drawings for weld sizes and dimensions
- Understanding weld procedures and weld plans
- Fabricating to a high standard, accurately measuring and working to tolerances
- Completing all fabrication tasks as assigned by the supervisor/chargehand accurately and efficiently
- Operating fabrication machinery, overhead cranes and hand tools safely and effectively
- Performing steel cutting, burning and grinding to a high standard
- Inspecting own work to ensure it meets the company’s high quality standards
- Experience of MIG Welding using carbon steel procedures
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
- Structural steelwork experience
- Work with mínimal supervision
- Work to tight deadlines
- Good attitude to safety

In return we will offer:
Hours: 39 Hours (Monday to Thursday)

Shifts available: Dayshift 7 - 5.15, Backshift 2pm - 12.15am, Nightshift 8.45pm - 7am

Overtime: x 1.5 and x 2 DT

Holidays: 28 days + 5 days after 5 years. (24 days paid x 1.33, 4 days paid x BR)
