Welder and Fabricator

gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client based in the Flint area. We are looking for a Welder and Fabricator to join our client’s team on a temporary basis.

**Hours of Work & Pay**
- £12 per hour basic
- £18 per hour overtime
- 6am - 6pm

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in crushing machine rebuilds
- Quarry maintenance/repair work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings in a bid to understand work specifications
- Assist in setting up welding equipment and workstation clean.
- Operate hand and power tools particular to the welding trade
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding and cutting equipment
- Examine workpieces to determine defects and perform welding and cutting duties to straighten and make good
- Prepare all material surfaces that need to be welded and ensure there is no rust/scale
- Position, measure and align parts that need to be welded
- There may be occasions where maintenance and repairs will be required off site on customers premises

**Skills/Experience Required**
- Minimum requirement would be PEO/NVQ Level 2 in Welding/Fabricating, Health and Safety and other associated core units would be advantageous.

**Desirable Experience**
- Welding experience would be a valuable bonus for the role. Additional training will be provided in areas related to the task if required
- Able to work well individually and as part of a team
