The Chlamydia Screening Team is a small, friendly and engaged team that rely on excellent partnership working to deliver our targets and put patients and young people first. We promote a culture of constant service improvement and development and are looking or someone with a passion for Sexual Health Promotion and Health Intelligence to support our delivery with exceptional data management and analysis.
The Chlamydia Screening & Home Sampling Data Administrator role sits within the Chlamydia Screening Team, which delivers the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) locally, the Brighton & Hove Home STI testing service for all local residents and the Sexual Health Promotion aims for Under 25’s across the city. The team is embedded in the Sexual Health and Contraception service (SHAC) in Brighton and Hove, based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
The Chlamydia Screening & Home Sampling Data Administrator role is crucial in evidencing delivery on Key Performance Indicators for local commissioning and informing service design, delivery and improvements. Main duties include delivery of the online testing service including results management, management of the cities Vending machine stock and data, reporting on use of the eC-Card scheme, partnership working with local pharmacies and data reporting for the Chlamydia Screening Programme and the Home Sampling service.

**Responsibilities**:
Communication
To contact patients by phone/ text/ letter notifying them of CSP positive results following outreach or home-sample screening and arranging follow up treatment appointments
To be involved in communication updates regarding the SHAC service to the wider community via a range of media including the SHAC website and Twitter or other digital media as required.
To provide and receive highly sensitive patient information
Present complex information clearly to colleagues at all levels
Communicate data to the Programme Lead and wider clinic team to help with patient flow and access
To respond to and record telephone calls from patients and the general public regarding treatment and other general enquires regarding service provision and opening times.
To take calls from health professionals and other departments, recording relevant patient information and passing messages to the relevant member of the multidisciplinary team as appropriate.
To respond calmly, empathetically and professionally to emotionally charged calls from angry and sometimes highly stressed patients regarding test results or attendance of partners.
Communication with health professionals in other agencies, locally and nationally regarding service provision and potential patient referral.
To attend a range of internal and external meetings as required
To work closely with the data team to ensure monthly reports are accurate and informative and disseminated to the wider clinic to inform service development.
Service Delivery and Improvement
Make suggestions to the team and CSP lead regarding improvements to the current systems where they are identified.
To be responsible for CSP and home-sampling data reporting, creating documents and reports, supplying data as requested by the Team Lead. Monitoring data to highlight trends inform practice and demonstrate progress.
To actively promote and monitor the performance of the CSP and Home-sampling service and suggest innovative practice to improve service delivery and efficiency
To lead and oversee Vending machine testing kit stock levels, communicate with key partners on site and ensure delivery of kits is received. Lead on test kit development, sourcing materials and promotion activity. To be familiar with the Vend
