**About us**

Unity (Southern) Limited is a small business in Andover. Our goal is to Unity is a non-profit incorporated UK charity part-funded by Test Valley Borough Council and Hampshire County Council, working with local organisations to support vulnerable members of the Test Valley Community. With offices based in Andover and Romsey, we aim to bring people together.

Voluntary Sector Co-ordinator (2 Year Contract)

21 Hours per week, £24,050 pro rata per annum

**Do you have**:

- Community Engagement Experience
- Experience in IT
- Experience in multimedia platforms including social media, website, virtual meetings
- Good administration and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to work flexibly

**You will need to demonstrate**
- Understanding of the voluntary sector
- Excellent IT and report writing skills
- Digital experience
- Ability to work on own initiative
- An ability to adhere to quality standards

The following list is typical of the duties that the post holder will be expected to assist with. It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar type and level may be required from time to time.

**DUTIES TO INCLUDE**:

- To engage groups and individuals to promote volunteering and to develop new opportunities in the community
- To support groups to maximise their web and social media presence to reach wider audiences to help increase their sustainability
- To provide advice and set up support on the use of communications such as virtual meetings, social media, website to complement face-to-face group meetings
- To enhance the Unity and community online presence through our social media channels and website
- To provide relevant report information and analytics and case studies as a result of these changes
- To attend suitable training courses as required
- Ensure implementation of all organisation policies and procedures, such as equality and diversity, health and safety, and security
- To carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the management

**Education**
- Good level of education and good use of the English language (Essential)

**Experience**
- Experience in IT and proficient in digital support and multi media platforms (Essential)
- Dealing efficiently and professionally with clients/service users (Essential)
- Experience working in the community and/or working with volunteers (Desirable)

**Skills**
- Database management (Essential)
- Excellent IT skills and experience in using Microsoft Office programmes (Essential)
- Experienced in online marketing, website and most social media channels (Essential)
- Experience in blogs and webinars (Desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (Essential)
- Good organisational and communication skills (Essential)
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team (Essential)
- Flexible and enthusiastic approach (Essential)
- UK driving licence with use of own vehicle for local travel (Essential)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: £24,050.00 per year
