**IBA Broking Accounts Handler - 12 Month FTC, Leeds, ARDRN818965**

Working in an ambitious agile hybrid environment within the client broking accounts department of Ardonagh Advisory; ensuring client financial transactions relating to insurance broking are managed and recorded correctly.

**Purpose of the Role**:
To contribute your skills and knowledge across a number of financial accounting disciplines within the Insurance Broking Accounts centre. This role underpins Ardonagh’s ability to deliver an effective service to our clients, ensuring that we adequately protectand administer our client’s money.

**Key Role Accountabilities**:
1. Supporting our client’s by performing activities across one or more of the following disciplines:
a. Accounts receivable - cash posting & allocation,

b. Bank Account Reconciliation,

c. Accounts Payable - Client, Insurer and Intermediary Payments,

d. Client Money Calculations,

e. Month end reporting,

f. Bordereaux / statement reconciliation,

g. Other client money support activities as required.

2. Striving to do your best by contributing towards individual, team & company objectives.

3. Managing your own workload to ensure work is being completed to the agreed Service Levels (SLAs) and quality standards.

4. Building great relationships with internal finance departments and business units; ensuring we support each other in order to maximise our contribution towards each other, our clients and the Business.

5. Supporting the future evolution of our department and wider Business by contributing your ideas and knowledge within our continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Underpin our process and procedural expertise by supporting audit requests for information and process walk-through exercises.

7. Using your skills and knowledge on other ad-hoc tasks as required to support our Business grow, develop and improve.

8. Continuing to maintain and develop your skills and knowledge through regular training and assessment exercises as assigned from the Compliance &Training Department

9. Doing the right thing by completing agreed procedures to ensure we remain compliant with the client and insurer money rules within the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Handbook.

10. Acting as our first line of defence in identifying and recording any breaches of FCA rules.

11. To do what is necessary to help our client’s and our business succeed.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Education - GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
- Specialised Knowledge - Client Money (CASS 5) preferable
- Skills - Microsoft Excel skills to basic level
- Professional Certification - N/A
- Experience - Previous financial services experience in an insurance broking environment preferable.
