**Store location**

Come work in the spectacular gateway to the Highlands and Isles Oban is known for its world class views and easy access to surrounding area of natural beauty, including nearby islands and beaches. It’s a bustling little port set on a sheltered horseshoe bay with a spectacular outlook across the Firth of Lorne. Its not only known for its outstanding scenery but is also coined the “Seafood capital of Scotland” with destination restaurants and strong sense of community spirit. Under 2 ½ hours from Glasgow and in under an hour to Glencoe to the north and Loch Awe and Loch Lomond to the south. In Oban you really can have the best of both worlds living in an area of incredible natural beauty but within reasonable travel by car or rail to bustling city centre life.

The store itself is in a prominent location and well established in the local community. The customer focused family ethos of the store has resulted in a loyal customer base and long-standing dedicated team. The store has recently had a full refit and will be given a further revamp next month so it will be kitted out with all the latest visuals and equipment the group has to offer. Oban currently has 3 optical test room and dual space for their popular hearcare services. The store has onsite glazing facilities and the space to expand other facilities in the future.

**Requirements of the role**

Experience in the optical industry isn’t essential for our next Director in Oban. We need a senior and knowledgeable operational retailer with leadership, management and commercial skills and would be confident and passionate in running their own business alongside the support of a global brand.

The right person for this position will possess a strong worth ethic, drive and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
