**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Working in collaboration with clients interested parties, professionals and advocates making sure that the client’s person-centred care is maintained all the time,
- Supporting the Manager with recruitment, supervision, appraisals, annual reviews, and disciplinary procedures.
- Providing, overseeing and supervising as well as monitoring the daily routine to ensure consistently high standards of client care are achieved.
- Being in charge as required and organising the workload and supervising the staff.
- Developing a good working relationship with the Registered Manager and the management team
- Communicating effectively with Managers and care staff, both written and verbal.
- Contributing and adhering to the development of individual care plans in relation to hygiene, bathing, continence management, mobility, feeding, dressing and general care.
- Work in conjunction with the Manager and be involved with the induction of new care and domestic staff, keeping any records required, and following all company policies and procedures.
- Administration of medication in accordance with medication procedure.
- Promoting a friendly, homely atmosphere for clients at all times.
- Ensuring that the Manager is informed of any problems or developments regarding staff, residents or any of the support services and assisting residents with their activities of daily living.
- Assisting clients with domestic/housekeeping tasks and maintaining a healthy and safe environment.
- Maintaining general tidiness and promoting a homely atmosphere.
- Working together with clients' families and advocates making sure that clients' personal-centred care plans are followed and carrying out reviews for client’s package of care.
- Maintaining confidentiality and discretion in communicating personal matters to the Manger and other members of staff, and other residents.
- Respecting residents’ beliefs and values, and arranging visits to places of worship, and visits of clergy.
- Supervising the preparation and serving of light meals and beverages. Attend and serve at main meals, ensuring residents’ meals are ready.
- Supervising staff on shift and ensuring high standards of care are achieved and staff follow procedure and are safe whilst at work.
- Accompany health care professionals to resident rooms, providing a full report to the person in charge and completing relevant documents if required.
- Ensuring conformance at all times with the company’s health and safety at work policy, by self and staff.
- Undertaking appropriate training, as determined by the Manager.
- Carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Manager

To complete NVQ 3 in care or the equivalent

Adhere to policies and procedures

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed; the job holder is required to perform other

duties assigned by the manager from time to time.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,500.00 per year
