Graphic Designer

SureScreen Scientifics Ltd is a world-class laboratory testing. The impressive 1740's Georgian house, only 10 minutes from Derby, surrounded by beautiful gardens, orchard & beehives often frequented by deer, has been renovated over the last 6 years to a busy state of the art scientific laboratory. With a focus on research to deliver new products to the market, this brings a revolving door of excitement.

Working across the three brands (SureScreen Diagnostics, SureScreen Scientifics and Nutrivitality), our Graphic Designer will work with briefs and key deadlines to provide inspired designs, including all the appropriate stakeholders involved to get a completed and cohesive finish.

This role will also include research on staying up to date with the latest designs and techniques to ensure we stand out in our relevant industries.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities of the Graphic Designer role include but are not limited to:

- Design key content pieces to support the customer journey such as welcome packs, fact sheets, whitepapers, reports, and packaging.
- Work on elements for websites and portals from banners and imagery to iconography.
- Creation of social media content that will engage B2B and B2C audiences.
- Design sales content that will aid introductions to lead generation.
- Creation of introductory material such as brochures, campaign pieces, press material and ads (press and search).
- Working with marketing on the design of event materials and stand artwork.
- Assist the team bringing life to concepts with animation and video.
- Create and continue to ensure brand guidelines are up to date and met.
- Support any brand creations or updates to elements such as logos, colour pallets and imagery.
- Working closely with other team members to generate fresh and out of the box ideas.
- Research and update skill level for current trends and techniques so that our output has a competitive edge.
- Ensuring that deadlines are met and that all work is on-brand and on-brief.
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts in line with the individual brands target audience.
- Making sure all outputs are in the correct format from print ready to easy downloads.
- Prioritise tasks, consider budget constraints and critical timelines.
- Managing stakeholder (internally and externally) requirements efficiently and proactively through to project fulfilment.
- Any other project work deemed appropriate for the role that supports the business.
- Proven and demonstrable experience with all elements of graphic design from any industry.
- A passion for design, creative flair and attention to detail is essential.
- A design degree (desirable).
- A portfolio of design projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).
- Animation and video creation experience in the likes of Premier Pro, After Effects (desirable).
- Interest or experience in app design such as Adobe XD or Figma.
- Understanding of creative visual principles such as typography, layout, colour theory and brand identity.
- A proactive, can-do attitude.
- An organised and methodical individual who takes pride in seeing work done to the highest standards.
- Good verbal communication skills - the ability to articulate ideas clearly and liaise with stakeholders.
