Cambridge, United Kingdom Anglia Ruskin University Full time

**ARU Police Education -**
**Independent End Point Assessor (IEPA) - Metropolitan Police**

**About the role**:
ARU are delighted to be working with The Metropolitan Police and the Seven Police Forces in the Eastern Region - Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk - to train the Police Officers of the future. We are offering the new
**Police Education Qualification Framework (PEQF)** Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) developed by the College of Policing.

This is a chance to be involved in shaping the Police Officers of the future and get involved in an industry leading program.

The PEQF aims to further professionalise policing as a career, by both recognising and raising educational standards, and ARU has been selected by the Seven Force Strategic Collaboration Programme and the Metropolitan Police to provide the educational training for two new entry routes into the profession.

New Police Constables will enrol on a three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which combines a degree programme with on-the-job training, while a two-year Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) will be available for new recruits who already have a degree.

ARU University is the End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for our Integrated PCDA and is fully registered on the Education and Skills Funding Agency Register of End Point Assessment Organisations.

The Independent End Point Assessor role assesses the apprentice(s) competence against an industry specific standard, as part of the End Point Assessment activities carried out by apprentices on the Degree Apprenticeship Standard. The role provides independence and impartiality for the Apprenticeship Standard and requires use of assessment experience with robust industry knowledge to form judgements and grading decisions.

The role is specifically for End Point Assessments on the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and will be predominantly home-based with virtual meetings.

You will work with colleagues from our partner, Babcock International, the Metropolitan Police, and potentially the other HEIs in the collaboration and you will be responsible assessing cohorts of Student Police Officers studying on the PCDA.

**Independent End Point Assessor (IEPA) £35,333 - £40,931 p.a. pro rata**

Applicants need to demonstrate previous relevant occupational experience in Policing (within the last three years), and a relevant professional qualification as an assessor in line with policing and higher education sector requirements, be working towards this or have a willingness to achieve this. Level 2 English and Mathematics are also required.

Whilst this will be a predominantly home-based role, the ability to travel between police establishments and HEI campuses with the collaboration is required.

**_ We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of our staff and students and expect all staff to share this commitment._**

**_ Committed to being inclusive and open to discuss flexible working._**

We have a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.

In accordance with the UK Government’s immigration points-based system, this post does not meet the characteristics of a skilled job including salary criteria to be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route.
