What Are We Looking For

Our in-house design team are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our business in one of our Scottish offices based in Cumbernauld. You will take on a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation,ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus low on carbon solutions.

Some of your key duties include:

- Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implantation
- Ensure compliance with Client specification and current regulatory standards
- Develop design deliverables
- Complete checking and approval processes
- Arrange procurement of goods and services
- Prepare work scope estimates/quotations
- Assemble contract works information documents
- Consider project health and safety, quality and environmental matters
- Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects
- Implement project change control and programme requirements
- Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects

What do you need?
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of British and European design standards
- Minimum of 5 years proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) Industry
