Kensington and Chelsea, United Kingdom Acorn Nursery School Full time

Would you like to work in a caring, happy and successful school where children come first? If so, we are looking to appoint an additional colleague. The Acorn Nursery school is a school where laughter is encouraged and all staff are valued members of the team with the simple mission of providing a rich, nurturing and high quality early learning environment for all.

We have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor who:

- Has an interest and commitment to encourage and develop children through play
- Can work in a flexible way to maintain the safety, welfare and good conduct of the children during midday lunch and playtime
- Is committed to and has the ability to promote child protection, safeguarding, health and safety and welfare of children

The role will include overseeing the pupils’ lunchtime meals and activities, supervising their behaviour and assisting with personal care.

The contract will be term-time only for 2 hours per day (11.30am - 1.30pm). The salary will be competitive, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve contact with and responsibility for children and will amount to ‘regulated activity’.
- The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS. _
- The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are ‘spent’ unless they are ‘protected’ under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children._
- NHP is an equal opportunities employer._
