As the **Accounting and Payables Assistant**, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will assist with managing outgoing payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers, as well as internal accounting including payroll processing and tax returns. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Accounts Payable**: Process outgoing payments, including invoices, expense reimbursements, and utility bills. Ensure payments are made accurately and on time, following established procedures and approval workflows.
- **Payroll Assistance**: Assist in processing payroll for employees, including calculating wages, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- **Invoice Processing**: Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with purchase orders and contracts. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers as needed, or with the relevant team leader.
- **Expense Reconciliation**: Reconcile expense reports submitted by employees, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies and guidelines.
- **Account Management**: Maintain relationships with vendors, address inquiries, and resolve payment-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- **Financial Recordkeeping**: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable ledgers, expense reports, payroll records, and payment logs.
- **Month-End Close**: Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts payable balances, and generating financial reports.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls in all accounting and payment processes.

**WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- Passion and existing knowledge of the Korean Beauty industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (can be ongoing).
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or payroll administration (_preferred_)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently

Pay: From £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
