Calor Gas are looking to recruit a number of engaging and proactive Transport Planning Schedulers to work at our site in **_Port Clarence_**_, County Durham_._
As part of the Transport Planning team you will work closely with the National Distribution network to measure the performance of sites & drivers against set routes. These reports will drive learnings and change to processes, technology and behaviour. The role is a key influencer and needs to closely collaborate with these internal stakeholders.
**Your Key responsibilities will include**:
- Prepare customer order schedules for distribution using Paragon aiming to meet 100% of orders scheduled and the feasibility of routes increased.
- Drive efficiencies in route planning through analysing the output from the previous day through Paragon Live software to understand deviations to routes and use this insight to improve the schedule for the following day.
- Continually improve the master data used in the scheduling process to improve customer experience and efficiency, influencing the National Distribution teams to update customer data and complete driver debriefs.
- Make decisions on short term constraints that require changes in schedules that balance the customer experience, operational efficiencies and potential revenues through orders fulfilled.
- Contribute to the Fulfilment Safety agenda reducing the risk to our drivers, considering planning alternative routes based on incident & monitoring of driving performance, improving customer master data about customer premises & planning of driver breaks etc to support Health & Wellbeing
**As such we would like you to have/be**:
- Experience in transport/logistics/distribution essential
- Strong IT skills with a sound knowledge of SAP and Paragon
- Have experience in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Analytical mind
- Able to deal with large amounts of data
- Process driven with attention to detail
- Logical thinker and methodical problem solver
- Collaborate & ability to influence others

Your basic hours of work will be based on 40 hours per week and your working week will be deemed to be up to any 6 days in 7, however, you will be expected to work the hours necessary for the full and satisfactory completion of the tasks for which you are responsible.
This role works on a rotating shift pattern, Earlies/Mids/Lates. Flexibility is a must and weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required should the particular shift pattern require it.
