Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Interaction: Interact with patients in a compassionate and friendly manner, addressing their queries and concerns.
- Testing and Screening: Perform basic tests and screenings under the guidance of ophthalmic professionals, such as visual acuity and tonometry.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Sterilization: Properly sterilize and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety and infection control.
- Assistance in Procedures: Help during ophthalmic procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the ophthalmology team to ensure seamless patient care and departmental operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, preferably in ophthalmology or a related field.
- Compassionate approach and strong patient-care skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
- Awareness of infection control protocols.
