**Why this role is important to us**

Our UK&I FPA team is seeking a FPA Partner to provide financial management, decision support, and insight grounded in excellent management information. This position has dedicated responsibility to drive business performance and create value for the Experian Marketing Services (EMS) Business Unit within UK&I. This position will report into the FPA Director and collaborate with the Senior Finance Business Partner. It will liaise daily with a dedicated analyst in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This role will help to manage financial risks and opportunities through the monthly forecasting and budgetary cycles as well as contributing to the 5-year Strategic Plan. There is opportunity to work closely with members of the EMS Management team, and to make actionable recommendations to optimise business performance and to drive process efficiency.

The EMS business operates in a market that is changing fast. The growth in digital advertising, changes in regulations, and actions by device or platform providers are combining to create challenges, but also opportunities for businesses that can innovate in an agile way. The EMS business looks to take advantage of Experian’s assets and capabilities to innovate and to succeed in this space.

**Work that matters - What you’ll be doing**

**Provide Domain Management Information & Insight**
- Enhance visibility of performance. Manage and execute reporting, analytics, and insights on metrics to benchmark progress against targets, initiatives, and strategies.
- Develop analytics to leverage data and identify key insights. Challenge business managers to drive better decisions and optimise results.
- Contribute content for the Domain/BU Management meetings to inform and provide context on trends and opportunities / risks.

**Oversee Core Processes and Controls**
- Ensure forecasting and month end processes are completed on time in full, incorporating challenge, and featuring business sign off (alignment)
- Maintain a strong control environment including around balance sheet positions, and consistency around revenue recognition, for example.
- Regularly review BU cost profile, and challenge the business to optimise spend.

**Partner with the Business to create value**
- Actively influence business decisions through provision of scenarios, contingency and "real options". Target $50k per annum EBIT improvement as minimum.
- Develop business case workings to support the optimisation of capital investment and long term profit maximisation for the business
- Support the development and execution of the budget and strategic plan growth. Provide early identification of gaps and mitigating actions and pipeline of growth initiatives.

**Contribute to Finance Function**
- Participate in continuous improvement in the FPA function and leverage opportunities for technology, standardisation and optimisation of processes
- Operate effectively in a virtual team environment across multiple locations. Coach and guide offshore team-mates as required
- Support broader finance in responding to informational requests. Contribute to content to Operational Review or other meetings by collaborating with SFBP

**Qualifications**:
**More about you**
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a demonstrable post-qualified experience in a variety of settings/roles.
- Understanding of business principles, including strategy. Strong desire to master commercial finance and understand the business from both an internal and external perspective.
- Comfortable to interact at all levels within the organisation. Able to provide compelling recommendations and influence senior leaders. Confidence to engage in the business discussion and debate.

It would also be great if you have the below, although not essential
- Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Tableau preferred.
