**Position**: Corporate Security Officer

**Pay rate**: £12.97 per hour

**Shift Pattern**: Nights only; 4 on, 4 off. 12-hour shift/19:00-07:00

**Location**:Belgrave House, Victoria

Belgrave House is a multi-tenanted office building with a main reception located on Buckingham Palace Road and a rear reception located on Eccleston Place. These provide the main pedestrian access and egress routes. There are three tenants: American Express, Google and Charterhouse, with L Catterton as a sub-tenant to Charterhouse. BNP Paribas Real Estate manage all aspects of the site for their clients Grosvenor Estate.

The team size is 13 of day and night teams. Corporate Security Officer will report to the Security Supervisor, who reports to the Security Manager.

**Must have**
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights, and weekends
- Be sensitive towards and show an understanding of the requirements of people with disabilities or special requirements
- Extensive experience within a similar position and/or night shifts
- 5-year checkable work history

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Ensure you provide a welcoming presence for all staff, guests, and visitors
- Ensure you report for duty on time and are in the right position
- Take responsibility for conflicts, concerns, or issues that staff and visitors may have
- Support, assist or step up to Security Supervisor or Lead Security Officer in their absence
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Deter, prevent, and respond to unauthorised access
- Have a good understanding and awareness of counter terrorism
- To provide a first-line response to incidents within the boundary of the estate
- Ensure workstations are correctly set up and all relevant equipment is correctly in place
- Respond and carry out emergency procedures within the estate including dynamic lockdowns
- Conduct external and internal security patrols, ensuring they are carried out effectively and safely
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
- Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed and report accidents, near-miss or incidents promptly to the appropriate persons
- Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner and maintain high standards of appearance and personal hygiene
- Respond to first aid incidents as and when required
- Report instances of property at risk of being lost/stolen, damaged, or vandalised
- Conduct security searches when requested
- Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles
- Respond to panic alarm activations
- Respond to calls for assistance when requested to do so
- Conduct fire marshal duties
- Conduct Loading Bay duties as per regulations and procedures
- Provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
- Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management
- Carry out ID checks
- Be vigilant to the Health and Safety risks
- Excellent communication skills to all levels - verbally, written, phone and by two-way radio
- Maintain positive attitude and composure when dealing with people and taking on challenges
- To be conversant with Company and Belgrave House’s policy and procedures
- Participate in training and ensure attendance to all relevant training as required
- Undertake any other tasks as identified by the Security Supervisor and Security Manager for the good and benefit of the service to the customer and deemed to be appropriate or necessary to the post

- To cooperate and contribute to measures introduced by the client to ensure equality of opportunity and encourage diversity
