- 1. The Clinical fellows will be required to perform clinical work on the Medical Wards and the Acute Medicine Unit, both as the first doctor to see patients with the range of problems which present to a busy urban emergency department, and supervising the work of more junior staff, as well as participating in Medicine Clinics and the management of patients in an ambulatory setting.

1. The appointees will work closely with the general medical and the multidisciplinary team

1. The post holders will be expected to contribute to the performance of administrative duties on the ward - such as checking radiology reports and microbiology results - and to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the service, as required.

1. Leadership Role - will be responsible for working with the Clinical Lead to develop the service, for instance in developing SDEC.

1. Clinical Governance - will work closely with our Clinical Governance Lead to run our Departmental Morbidity and Mortality Meetings, review DATIX and Serious Incidents, identify areas of service which need improvement

1. Teaching - will be responsible for organising our Postgraduate Teaching Programme. There will be an opportunity for formal development, eg.
