**This role will report into our London Bishopsgate office or our Consett, County Durham office depending on your location.**

Mer UK are a business made up of 100+ employees, passionate about the electric vehicle revolution and sustainability. We are looking for proactive individuals with a passion for sustainable transport to join our team. The Mer Public Charging office, located in a prestigious London high rise, has been in operation for more than 3 years and our Mer Fleet Services counterpart have their head office in Consett, County Durham.

Mer UK has over 2,000 charging stations across the UK and this number is increasing every month. We have several ongoing contracts with esteemed UK companies and councils and predict further increases as the UK electric transition gathers pace.

Working closely with both the Head of Sales and Head of Public Sector Sales in line with the needs of the business, the Propositions Coordinator will provide data, analytics and quantitative material support for tenders and prepare commercial quotes, bids and proposals.

Your role
- Take the lead to assess the suitability and alignment with core strategy of new inbound commercial opportunities.
- Take responsibility for the preparation of content for internal (local and group) commercial propositions in a bid no bid environment; business case evaluation, recommendation, and rationale to secure approval to progress with a commercial offering/proposal.
- Coordinate with various departments throughout the proposal stages to ensure timely submission of projects, taking the lead to ensure action plans are followed up and deadlines are met.
- Prepare proposal body, cost calculations, and gather supporting documentation as required.
- Utilise commercial/legal/technical knowledge to support the team in creating proposals.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of offered conditions and pricing levels for the development of future bid/proposition strategies, actively following any market changes to understand Mer competitive position and assisting bench-marking activities.
- Proactively work on commercial processes to improve propositions efficiency.
- Interrogate the software platform to analyse charger performance and identify trends.
- Use the data to improve locations strategies - make recommendations for optimal locations.
- Analyse charger performance relative to charger type / locations / number of sockets to build a deep understanding of charger configuration best practice.
- Interrogate the software platform to analyse locations for expansion and/or gentrification.

Post-award responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the wider Sales team to prioritise portfolio preparation:

- Prioritise high performing sites through DTS analysis - traffic counts / proximity to trunk roads / competitor analysis.
- Identify path of least resistance projects:

- Ease of installation (grid availability - DNO website cross referencing - power abundance)
- Ease of contracting (Legal ownership structure)

Other tasks may be required from time to time to assist the business.

**Requirements**:
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate level education (commercial or technical) or qualified by experience.
- Proven related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of the following areas is required:
Contract/Tender/Sales management
- including proposal preparation, cost calculation and contract review.
Knowledge of core office packages, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Advanced Excel preferred.
Strong knowledge of EV/energy industry preferred.

The Propositions Co-Ordinator will sit within the Commercial team and will report to the Head of Sales and with a dotted line into the Head of Public Sector Sales.
