**Junior Supply Chain Specialist**
**Portishead Office/Hybrid**

**Role Description**:
Working closely with the Supply Chain Specialist and Senior Buyer to process purchase requisitions and create and issue purchase orders for goods and services to ensure a continued supply of goods and services to meet the business operational needs. Ensuring that price, quality, performance, and on time delivery expectations are maintained by expediting suppliers against agreed delivery dates and ensuring a timely response to supplier queries as they arise.

**Responsibility Summary**:
1Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

- Raising, expediting & delivery of supplier purchase orders whilst ensuring project and QC traceability.
- Maintain the data integrity of the company MRP system.
- Issuing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and ensuring that signed NDAs are filed correctly and current for new and existing suppliers.
- Assist with obtaining supplier quotations, performing quote analysis, recommending final supplier selection and placement of Purchase Orders.
- Subsequently track the order, by monitoring lead times to delivery, and managing the communication with the Suppliers and Senior Buyer and/or internal customers if there are any delays or delivery does not comply to required specifications
- Monitoring and recording supplier performance and report findings to the Senior Buyer.
- Maintain positive relationships and communications with all suppliers.
- Administration, allocation and issuing of work orders ensuring effective traceability and recording of serial numbers.
- Assist with closure and resolution of purchase order invoice queries.
- Provide occasional cover for storeman in receipting supplier deliveries or despatch of goods to customers/suppliers.
- Assist with completion of perpetual stock takes including analysis and resolution of discrepancies to ensure company MRP system is accurate.
- Support the buying team with general administrative duties and any ad hoc tasks
- Provide timely escalation of issues or concerns which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.

2.1 Undertake obligations in accordance with Vipers ISO accreditations from time to time eg ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, as detailed in the Operations Manual. Recognize requirements for Industry Standards as relevant to work scope.

2.3Adopt a pro-active approach to company and client QHSE initiatives and objectives.

2.3 Ensure best practice is followed to achieve maximum levels of safety, quality and efficiency and take recognition of the environment and environmental impacts in all activities and decisions.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
**Qualifications**:

- Hons Degree in Business Administration /Procurement/Supply chain or equivalent
- Knowledge of MS Office, experience working with ERP systems is desirable but not essential
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement will be considered as an advantage
