*Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor*

*Location: Penruddock School, Penrith CA11 0QU*

*Hours: 12.5 per week Mon-Fri 15.30-18.00*

*Rate of Pay: £10.27 per hour*

*PURPOSE OF ROLE:*

To lead and manage a team of cleaners on a site, getting ‘hands-on’ where required, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained throughout, and that the relationships with the customers are strengthened.

*KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:*

*Cleaning and Standards*
- Induct, train and advise the team on how to clean to the standards identified in the site specifications
- Complete and maintain relevant records (e.g. Quality Assurance documentation; Health & Safety records; training logs; timesheets etc.) accurately and on time
- Monitor and advise on stock usage, ordering stock as and when required
- Use cleaning machinery including floor buffers and carpet cleaners
- Train and advise your team on the efficient and effective use of cleaning equipment and chemicals considering COSHH regulations
- Monitor standards of performance and quality of cleaning across the site
- To undertake cleaning duties as required

*Managing/Leading and Customer Service*
- Build great relationships with your team/colleagues and your customers
- Supervise the site, ensuring work is completed to an agreed schedule and to required standards
- Managing understaffing and ensuring variations are dealt with. Monitoring attendance and informing HR of absences.
- Work with the account management team to attend client site inspections and audits as required
- Be the point of contact for your cleaners with any personnel queries, dealing with or referring to the correct person
- Be the point of contact for the customers with any issues or queries, resolving where appropriate
- Have a clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles

- Act responsibly in relation to all matters which may affect the Health and Safety of yourselves and others whilst on Company premises and to adhere to safety regulations at all times
- Observe all safety procedures and instructions and assist in maintaining a safe workplace and reporting any accidents, hazards, near misses, damages or defects to tools and equipment to the appropriate person
- Wear appropriate protective equipment (PPE) and use any safety devices provided by the company at the relevant times

*Qualifications & Experience:*

Essential: Previous supervisory experience leading a team (ideally at least 1 year)

Cleaning Industry experience

Desirable: Valid full driving licence
