If you enjoy the complexity, challenge and fast pace of working in acute mental health this role is for you. As a member of this multi-disciplinary Crisis team you will be supporting people experiencing a crisis in addition to those who may be experiencing a relapse in their diagnosed mental illness.
We support patients, family members and carers and remain committed to the recovery model and a holistic way of working in their homes, offering a variety of interventions and support to aid recovery. If you are looking for a role where you can use the experience you have gathered to make a real and tangible difference to a new and developing service, then this is the job for you
To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID
The role of this team is varied and plays a central role within the urgent care pathway. You will be liaising with other mental health services and agencies, in addition to acute inpatient units being responsible for early discharge assessments. This role will involve attending and contributing to multi agency professionals' meetings including risk panels. You will need to have some experience of working in acute care (inpatient setting/crisis team/mental health liaison team) and be willing to work flexible hours to enable the team to provide a 7-day service.
You will receive regular supervision and have the opportunity for personal and professional development as well as contributing to the team's development. Chichester CRHTT covers a large geographical area (Arundel, Bognor Regis, Witterings, Selsey, Southbourne, Midhurst, Pulborough, Petworth) it may be that you are required to travel from one end of the patch to the other (sometimes within the one day) in order to fulfil community visits. Therefore, having access to your own transport is essential or you must be able to demonstrate your ability to travel across the patch in an efficient and timely manner. Please contact the team leader if you wish to discuss this further.
This is a seven day per week service, which may necessitate some working unsocial hours, however, working unsocial hours does bring a salary increase, in line with Agenda for Change guidelines.
You will be joining a committed and dynamic multidisciplinary team and will be fully supported and empowered to make a difference to creatively develop many new ways of working, towards building safe and responsive quality mental health services fit for the future.
In return we can offer a supportive working environment and access to training opportunities to assist you to realise your potential and achieve a greater degree of job satisfaction.
**As a Trust employee you will enjoy the following**:
- Excellent starting salary
- NHS Pension contributions
- 27 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays
- Flexible Working patterns
- Child care vouchers
- Excellent training and development opportunities
- NHS Discounts
- Employee Assistance Programme
We encourage flexible working. We know that a positive work/ life balance brings about huge health-related benefits, which has a positive impact on the care we provide. Please speak to us about flexible working, for example, home-working, part time hours, flexible start/ finish times or anything else.
