We are searching for an experienced Planner who will have responsibility for programme development and management within the Interior Fit Out Division of Graham Construction.

Working closely with bid and project delivery teams the Planner will contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of the Interior Fit Out Division and will be expected to meet personal development targets, project goals and business unit targets.

The types of projects the planner will be working on will be varied and could range from office and retail fit outs through to shopping centre alterations and modifications as well as elements of new build and extensions to existing premises.

Excellent team working is an essential component of the job role.

UK Driving License is also essential for the role

**THE PLANNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING**:
**Tender**
- Develop project specific Programmes, Method Statements and Logistics Plans during the bid phase.
- Develop Design Deliverable Programmes in conjunction with the Bid Manager and as required within the Tender/Bid deliverables.

Develop Programmes
- Develop Project Programmes to measure progress, including critical path analysis. This will include Procurement Programmes, Commissioning and Completion Programmes.
- Carry out “What-if” scenarios to forward forecast issues that may develop during the project.
- Communicate the planned intent both internally and externally being able to explain complex data to all relevant stakeholders.
- Keep records of any assumptions or constraints that have been made / assumed to develop the Project Programmes.
- Be proficient in using ASTA Power Project and Microsoft Project Programming Software Packages.

Manage Programmes
- Produce information required schedules from the project programmes.
- Provide and achieve consistent, accurate and reliable programme data.
- Provide reports to the Project Manager/Contracts Manager as required, including critical path network and rescheduling of activities where appropriate.
- Advise the Project Manager/Contracts Manager as to the impact of activity slippage even if items are not on critical path. (e.g. Increased labour demand etc.)
- Provide programme input with regard to changes including variations and delay entitlements
- Attend project start up meetings and project weekly/monthly review meetings.
- Provide accurate reporting including “what if” options on project performances.
- Provide short term and special action programmes as required.
- Suggest recovery actions or programme betterment opportunities.
- Provide input to Project Review post-completion

**Supply Chain**
- Provide detailed Package Delivery Programmes for inclusion in Package Tenders.
- Check subcontractor programmes for compliance with the project programmes reviewing and challenging methods and logistics.
- Input as requested into the review of any subcontractor claims for delay and/or cost and provide detailed programme evidence relating to the claim.

General
- Input to the Project Risk and Opportunities Register both during the bid and construction phases.
- Assist in researching alternative product or systems in conjunction with the Project Team.
- Provide Project summaries to Senior Managers / Contracts Director / Managing Director for review.
- Ensure all information is saved to O365
