My client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our financial services firm. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for processing monthly payroll for approximately 450 staff members across five different companies. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees while maintaining meticulous records and adhering to statutory and company deadlines. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth payroll operations and compliance with salary-related legislation and employment law.

- GCSE in Maths & English with A-C grades (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of Payroll System(s), Payroll Reporting, and an understanding of Working Agreements.
- Strong knowledge of salary-related legislation and Employment Law.
- Previous experience working within a payroll setting, preferably in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities: Process monthly payroll for approximately 450 staff members from five different companies. Ensure accurate and timely payment of employees while adhering to statutory and company deadlines. Process BACS payments for monthly payrolls. Produce, reconcile, and process all third-party payments. Reconcile PAYE figures on a periodic basis and during tax year end. Prepare and post monthly payroll journals. Set up new starters, leavers, and job changes in the payroll systems, ensuring accurate data entry. Review absence reports and calculate and process absence-related adjustments to pay, including Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), Statutory Maternity Pay, and Statutory Paternity Pay.
