**Position: Diagnostician**

**Our Opportunity**

The role of diagnostician will conduct testing assemblies on dedicated test equipment, fault diagnostics using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, bond testers on cables and electrical assemblies. You will work to the quality standards demanded within the missile sub-assembly, assembly environment.

**What the role has to offer**:
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with niche technology and interesting products in a supportive environment. Training will be provided and you will have support from 2 other team members on site. We work a 4 day week (9.25 hours per day Monday to Thursday) and offer additional benefits including pension, 201 hours annual leave, health insurance, life insurance and a healthcare cash plan.

**Responsibilities**:

- Testing on electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure compliance and functionality
- Set up, calibration and routine proving of dedicated test sets and equipment
- Understand, identify and trace faults and error readings on items using electrical test equipment and wiring diagrams
- Effectively relay information on problems and non-conformance to engineering personnel
- Interact with company ERP systems to record results and non-conformance
- Fully adopt the principles of the 5S housekeeping standard.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities with the goal of eliminating waste and reducing operating costs

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment so organisational skills and ability to use own initiative and discretion to diagnose and solve problems will be key. Listed below are some of the key attributes we are looking for:
**Essential skills required**
- HNC, HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Demonstrable experience in electronic fault diagnosis in a production environment or similar
- Must be capable of working to Manufacturing Instruction and Engineering drawings
- Experience in the use of oscilloscopes, multi-meters and bond testers
- Experience working with ESD sensitive devices and assemblies
- Knowledge of and ability to work to quality standards including AS9100
- Experienced PC user MS Word & Excel in particular.
- Demonstrable ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and customer requirements
