**Overview**:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone with a Chemistry or technical background, who want to use this knowledge and work directly with customers. Our Customer Service Technical team work closely with customers to provide technical support and meet the customers technical needs. The role also works closely with our Sales and Marketing functions to support key accounts.

This role will be based in the office at our Bracknell site (RG12 2UW).

**Responsibilities**:
Ownership of technical activity at designated accounts. Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and manage customer accounts in line with the roles and responsibilities outlined in Afton’s account management process.

Develop, organize, and execute plans to meet the customer’s technical needs and wants in consultation with Sales/ Marketing/ Business.

Support customers in building and organize data to support technical approval programs and assemble all appropriate information in an easily understood manner.

In depth knowledge and understanding of industry test requirements, customer test requirements and associated specifications and how those tests can be influenced by Afton chemistry.

Project management of designated programs, using Afton’s stage gate process.

Resolve customer complaints and problems in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.

Prepare written reports and technical literature for use by the customer and Sales.

Maintain productive relationships with team members and both internal and external customers. Develop relationships with key technical contacts within assigned accounts to support accounts and develop critical insight for the account management team

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Afton’s technology, customer needs, market trends, and industry direction through interface with Global CTS, R&D, OEM, Sales, Marketing, customers, and industry bodies. Ensure insight is shared both internally and externally as appropriate and aligned with Sales and Marketing.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience in the petrochemical or automotive industry would be an advantage

Experience working with customers and providing solutions
