**About the Role**

The post is to support the expansion and development of the Edge Hill University Medical School at an exciting time in its evolution.

You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our MBChB and other programmes contributing to the leadership, development and delivery of teaching and assessment in areas relating to general practice. You may also be required to contribute to broader aspects of the student experience and the Department, School and Faculty. Previous experience of teaching and assessment of undergraduate medical students and/or postgraduate Physicians Associates or other health professions students would be an advantage.

You will be supported, as appropriate, to undertake scholarly activity and contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units. For those with significant research responsibility, you will be expected to meet the quantitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework

**About You**

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly GP with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. You should hold current registration with the GMC with a licence to practice. You should have a relevant background and experience of teaching in areas relating to medicine.

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure for you from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
