A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Browne Jacobson to join our hugely successful Barristers team. Our in-house Chambers of practising barristers, professionally clerked, have a wealth of experience acting for public bodies including central and local government, health and education clients, as well as insurers on behalf of large corporate bodies and small to medium sized enterprises.

As a Legal Assistant, you’ll provide a legal support service to the team, working on all regulatory cases, in particular cases involving the Teaching Regulation Agency (‘TRA’) and, from time to time, other regulators. You’ll also assist, as and when required, with preparation of inquests and other work received from across the firm; being available (if required) to help the wider team with prosecution and defence work, police investigations and other regulatory enforcement.

Our expectation is that, **on average**, you’ll work from home for no more than three days per week, with the remainder of your time either spent in the office or working from other locations as work demands dictate, e.g. courts, client offices, conferences etc. Equally, there will be individual circumstances in which a different pattern of work is needed, for example as an agreed reasonable adjustment for colleagues with a disability or long-term medical condition.
