**Butcher Assistant (Retail)**

This is an exciting opportunity in our busy shop at the Glamis Centre, Pitteuchar. You would be joining a dedicated and committed team here at Alex Mitchell Butchers as we the serve the local community, keeping our core values of Quality, Convenience and Customer Service in mind.

**How many hours? approx **30-40 hours a week - Monday to Saturday with a day off during the week. Starting at 7am. Must be flexible cover holidays, sickness and to meet business demands

**Starting hourly rate**: £10.00

**What would the job involve**? The primary role is to support the Butchery Team with production of burgers, sausages, preparation of stir-frys and of chicken - all ready for retail display. This job is task driven which requires organisation, planning and goal setting. You would also require follow recipes to ensure consistency.

Part of the job also includes joining the team in doing the dishes, cleaning, etc and to adhere to all Health and Safety and Hygiene procedures. Training would be given.

**Based**:Primarily at our shop in the Glamis Centre, however, to learn new skills may be asked from time to time work at our Production unit in Southfield Ind Estate, Glenrothes.

**Start date**: Immediate. A trial would be part of the interview process.

References would be required.

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour
