We have offices in Tavistock (Devon and Cornwall, Neath (Wales),) and Cirencester (Gloucestershire).
We are looking for Support Workers to cover day shifts working in and **around Tavistock, Callington and Gunnislake.**
You will be supporting a small number of service users This is more than just a job - you’ll be helping the individuals you care to promote and gain independence, confidence, and helping them to achieve their personal outcomes.
**Pay Rates**
- **Best pay**
- **£12.25 p/hr (Mon-Fri)**
- **£15.50p/hr (Weekends)**
- **£19.00 p/hr (Bank Holidays)**
- **Paid mileage (0.45P / mile)**
- **Paid Travel time paid between calls (£10.42 p/h)**

**Requirements**:
- Work Monday - Friday
- Weekend work (every other weekend)
- Shifts Schedule: 07:00 - 14:00 and/or 15:30 - 20:00
- You need to be an enthusiastic Support Worker, communicate well, and honour your availability.
- Demonstrate understanding of self-centred care
- Excellent communication skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Full UK Driving Licence and own motorised transportation.
**Your role will include**:
- Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
- Helping with the preparation of meals and drinks
- Assisting the client with the administration of medication
- Offering emotional support and companionship
- Monitoring the service user’s conditions

- NO PROBLEM - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- We provide free training with user-friendly online modules.
- Shadowing with a Senior Care manager is provided.

SASKIA
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress and observations
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals in their homes or community settings
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals
**Experience**:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of person-centered approaches and principles of dignity and respect
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with individuals, families, and team members
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
