**Job Purpose**:

- To source and purchase materials, goods and services as required, ensuring production requirements are met along with profit margins.
- Run MRP to guarantee on time ordering and delivery.
- To ensure maintenance of the MRP and facilitate correction of underlying issues.
- Liaising with Sales and Production to maximise sales within capacity constraints, ensuring on time delivery and quantities of materials and the most cost effective prices and delivery methods are adopted.
- Continuous improvement of the capacity and production planning processes, to include (but not limited to):

- Negotiating with Suppliers;
- Vendor management
- Undertaking savings projects for the plant and identifying those areas that are underperforming;
- Working with the Quality team to work with and/or reassess Suppliers to ensure the best possible price and better margins and remove any Suppliers as may be necessary.
- To provide support to the UK Production Manager and the US Purchasing Manager.
- Ensuring that all documentation are retained in an orderly manner in readiness for any auditing.
- Assist the Quality team with monitoring operators’ scorecards.
- Work in collaboration with all Heico groups and attend bi-weekly meetings as necessary.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- To take responsibility for managing and maintaining adequate inventory levels of all manufacturing and consumable materials in accordance with the capacity plan requirements and manage the ERP for the business.
- To work with Sales to ensure materials are shipped on time and that customer leadtimes are correct on the systems to avoid contravention of capacity constraints and demand analysis for executing MRP signals such pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations.
- Accountable for maintaining the integrity of MRP planning parameters (costing lot size, lead times, days of supply).
- Analyse and update safety stock of all components (both productive and non-productive) in the system to reflect business needs and changes accordingly.
- Analyse, understand and convert MRP messages to raw materials purchase orders and plans to meet production / forecast demand.
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of purchasing and planning master data for assigned materials and products.

- Inventory management and ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained.
- Create and execute procurement plans ensuring all parts are delivered to specification at negotiated price to allow on time release of the schedule under the supervision of your line manager.
- Identify and react to short term material plans that do not meet customer requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years previous purchasing experience in component purchasing required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to act with a range of people from executives to end-user are required.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills are required.
- Must work well independently and as a team player with professionalism and integrity.
