Transport Planner

**Full job description**

A new opportunity within the business; due to continued demand from our customers has led us to advertise for a transport planner to join our growing team.

Ideally you will have experience working within a general haulage environment.

Hours will be Monday - Friday - 09:00am - 18:00pm with the occasional holiday cover when needed

Your responsibilities will include:

- Effective planning of drivers and vehicles ensuring both delivery and collection times are met.
- Assembling Groupage loads and ensuring vehicles are at capacity
- Achieving customer and network service levels by monitoring routes and dealing with delays.
- Clear and effective communication with customers and colleagues, to ensure a seamless delivery of freight.
- Control and update of related documents and data input to meet customer demands and requirements of the man data system.

Your experience:

- Daily planning of drivers and vehicles.
- Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Working to Health & Safety criteria.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Church: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- General Haulage or Pallet Network: 2 years (preferred)
- Transport Planning: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
