Maintenance Handyman

**All the fancy wording stuff is below, need someone who is hands on, likes to get stuck in & with a bit of common sence.**

**Someone who knows we are all part of a team but can work by themselfs.**

**Someone who does not have a huge stick up their ( you know what ).**

**Dont have to speak english great aslong as we can understand each other thats fine.**

**Days, hours, start & finish times all flexible.**

**Day to day responsibilities**

**- **installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building, fixtures and fittings.
- general plumbing including Plumbing - washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipework (copper or PVC)
- general carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, easing and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware.
- general tiling - floors and walls
- flooring work, such as carpet tiles
- general painting & decorating
- basic electrical maintenance
- liaising with housekeeping & reception, performing jobs as and when they are required.

**- **identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety
- carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements
- carry out tasks within agreed time limits
- ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- report to Line Manager
- immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
- meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
- contribute towards the smooth running of the team
- adhere to all organisation policies and procedures

From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.

You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.
